Data Center Analyst

We are seeking a dedicated Data Center Analyst to join our team based at a data centre in Hounslow. This role operates on a continental shift pattern (7-7), working 2 days on, 2 nights on, followed by 4 days off. The position offers a salary of £26,000 plus a 33.33% shift allowance.

The successful candidate will provide operational support to customers located at external sites, ensuring high standards of service through verbal, written, and face-to-face communication with various customer stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining accurate records of all work and status updates using prescribed systems such as ticketing, capacity tracking, and online databases.

Key duties involve performing audits (site and rack), cabling, cross connects, decommissioning, tape rotation, and maintaining the physical hosting infrastructure including racks, patch panels, data and power trays, and Telco carrier space. The role also supports the Site Manager in maintaining the site’s appearance and operational functionality through floor walks, rubbish removal, deliveries, collections, and monitoring mechanical and electrical systems.

Effective communication with customers is essential to manage support and setup of customer-specific requirements, while also providing assistance to internal teams as needed. Additionally, the analyst will provide service desk support by handling calls, emails, and other customer communications.

A valid driver’s licence and access to a car are essential for this role. Candidates must have a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar role, ideally within Business Continuity or Managed Services environments.
