Job Title: M&E Shift Technician

Location: London-based Data Centre

About the Role:

We are seeking experienced electrical engineers, ideally with a naval or military background, to join a 24/7 critical environment team. You will use your skills in electrical systems, generators, UPS, HVAC, and building management systems to maintain essential infrastructure and ensure environmental conditions meet strict standards. This is a hands-on role involving planned maintenance, fault resolution, and supporting continuous operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on critical mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot UPS, generators, HVAC, chillers, and building management systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Supervise and coordinate sub-contractors as required.
• Keep accurate shift logs, reports, and documentation.
• Work flexibly across shifts to support operational needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Electrical engineering experience, preferably with a naval or military background.
• HV Authorised or HV Authorised Person qualification.
• Knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition.
• Experience in critical or controlled environments, ideally data centres.
