As my client expand their data capabilities, I am looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer with a strong background in Microsoft Fabric, SQL, and Power BI to join their growing team.
Role Overview:
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising data solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. You'll work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to implement robust data pipelines and models that support decision-making and reporting needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes in Azure Data Factory or Synapse Analytics.
- Write efficient SQL queries to manipulate, transform, and extract data.
- Build, publish, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Ensure data quality, security, and governance standards are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor and optimise data performance across platforms.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer working within the Azure ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL and data modelling.
- Solid experience in Power BI for data visualisation.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, or Python for data engineering.
- Knowledge of data governance tools like Purview.
- Certification in Azure (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate).
