Role Title: Data Governance Analyst

The Role
Reporting to the Data Enablement Manager, the Data Governance Analyst will play a vital role in maximising the value of our data.
Outcomes of the Role
Supporting the embedding of all facets of the Data Governance Framework and ensuring that the Group has access to high-quality and trusted information to assess performance, provide insight, and inform decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the application and deployment of data policies and processes and their continued enforcement.
- Ensure that data quality guidance and direction is applied throughout the entire data lifecycle.
- Support the development and maintenance of an end-to-end data lifecycle management approach.
- Manage and measure the Group level Data Risks and their associated controls.
- Responsible for applying data governance framework including the management of data, operating model, data policies and standards as well as the application of clearly defined data management definitions for use across the Data Office
- Support and coach people in data roles, such as Data Owners, Data Stewards, Application Owners and Change Teams to understand their responsibilities.
- Collaborate with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define the data within their domain.
- Implement and maintain Rathbones’ data catalogue for consumption across the business.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and manage expectations.
- Support building the data community to ensure best practice across the Group.
- Actively drive engagement and awareness of Data Management practices across the business
Knowledge & Experience
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience of working in a Data Management capacity.
- Knowledge and understanding of data management disciplines, such as Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality and Data Architecture
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Confident at managing relationships and communicating with a variety of technical and non-technical business stakeholders.
Desirable:
- Experience in financial services, particularly wealth and asset management
- Experience using Data Governance tools
- Experience in developing Data Quality rules using SQL
