Data Lineage Specialist

Wipro is seeking a skilled Data Lineage Specialist to join our dynamic team

Role Summary

We need an experienced data specialist skilled in Data Lineage to assist with Data Provenance work. This role involves mapping, documenting, and maintaining the flow of data across our systems to support data governance initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

• Map and document data flows and transformations across systems.
• Develop, implement, and enforce data governance policies and standards around data lineage.
• Support compliance and audit needs by providing lineage evidence.
• Collaborate with IT, data owners, and analysts to ensure complete lineage documentation and compliance.
• Train stakeholders on accessing and understanding data lineage information.
• Use data lineage and metadata tools for discovery and visualisation when appropriate.

Key Requirements

• Hands-on experience in data lineage.
• Good understanding of data governance frameworks and practices.
• Proven ability to manage and engage stakeholders (both technical and non-technical).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Desirable

• Relevant certifications (e.g. DAMA CDMP, Collibra Ranger).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with data management tools and technologies.

Working Conditions

• Hybrid working arrangements, with a mix of remote and office-based collaboration as required (Wokingham and Warwick).
