Data Migration Consultant - £625 per day Inside IR35 - Global Business

A consumer-focused business based in Southampton is delivering a major Salesforce transformation and is seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to own and deliver a complex data migration programme.

This role will be responsible for migrating data from three legacy platforms that currently do not provide high-quality or reliable data into a new Salesforce environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data quality, managing complexity, and delivering a robust migration strategy that supports improved customer insight and business decision-making.

The Role

Lead the end-to-end migration of data from multiple legacy systems into Salesforce.
Define, own, and execute the data migration strategy in line with a newly created business and technology strategy.
Plan, manage, and deliver migration dry runs, resolving issues ahead of final cutover.
Work closely with a Salesforce implementation partner to define data selection criteria and apply transformation and data quality rules.

Ensure the right data is migrated at the right time, with appropriate governance and controls.

Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across a matrix organisation, navigating complexity and slower decision-making where required.

Clearly articulate migration plans, risks, dependencies, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Person

Proven experience defining and delivering data migration strategies end to end.
Strong technical data migration expertise, ideally within Salesforce or a similar CRM platform.
Experience working with complex or poor-quality legacy data and transforming it into trusted customer data.
Comfortable working alongside external implementation partners.
Highly organised, with the ability to orchestrate complex delivery programmes.
A confident communicator who can clearly explain what data should be migrated, how it will be migrated, and when migration should occur.
