Job Description

Twenty7tec transforms financial advice through technology. We partner with businesses of all sizes who share our ambition to simplify, streamline and digitise financial services in the mortgage and wealth markets. All our partners are different, so our technology can be customised to meet both the needs of the business and the needs of the client. As such, we need talented people to join our growing team and are excited we have new opportunities to do so.

We are now recruiting a Data Product Owner to join our amazing team. The main purpose of a Data Product Owner is to maximise the value derived from data assets within Twenty7tec by bridging the gap between data capabilities and business needs. This involves defining the vision, strategy and roadmap for data products, which can range from analytical dashboards and machine learning models to robust data pipelines and APIs. The Data Product Owner works closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translates these into technical specifications, and prioritises the backlog of work to ensure that data initiatives align with strategic business objectives and deliver measurable impact.

Ultimately, they are responsible for the entire lifecycle of our data products, from ideation and development to deployment, adoption, and ongoing optimisation, ensuring that data is leveraged effectively to drive informed decision-making and create competitive advantage.

If your application is successful and you are invited to an interview, we will provide you with an information sheet giving insight into our interview process, so you know what to expect.

Recruitment Process

Applications for this role may require a short online assessment to establish competency in certain skill areas. If your application is successful, you will be invited to a short telephone screening call with a member of our HR team. This is an informal conversation to find out a little more about you and your expectations ahead of potentially moving on to a formal interview. If you are invited to an interview, this may be carried out at our Bournemouth office, or online via a video call depending on your location. Interviews are conducted with the line manager for this role. A second interview may be required depending on the specific job role and may be attended by a member of senior management where required. Don’t worry though, we’re all very friendly!

Job Responsibilities

You will:

This involves continuous refinement, breaking down large requirements into smaller, manageable tasks, and making tough decisions about what to build next based on value and urgency.

Ensuring Data Quality, Governance and Accessibility: A crucial aspect of data products is trust. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining data quality standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and security. You will also work to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and to make data accessible to authorised users.

Driving Adoption and Measuring Impact: You actively promote your data products, educate users on their capabilities, and gather feedback for continuous improvement. You define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the product's impact on business outcomes and demonstrate value.
