Join the Data Quality Team at L&Q!

L&Q are on a journey towards becoming an insight-driven organisation using trusted data. We are refining and embedding our corporate Data Governance Framework to manage the way we collect, use and share data throughout the organisation. Our emphasis is on improving the completeness and accuracy of our data and information ensuring one trusted version. This will meet our need for consistent accurate data across regulatory returns, operational and performance data and enable data-driven process improvement and actionable insights.

The Data Quality Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with good exposure to business processes and data, ideally within a large and complex organisation, combined with an enquiring nature and the ability to communicate clearly, persuasively, and effectively at all levels.

Reporting to the Data Assurance Manager, you will review business processes, systems, and workflows from a data perspective, supporting Data Stewards and others to identify issues, establish root causes, and drive changes to resolve or mitigate them. You will also work closely with Change and Transformation workstreams to ensure data is ready for migration to new systems and that appropriate data quality controls are embedded.

This is a varied and dynamic role requiring strong stakeholder management, planning, and problem solving skills. You will act as a data quality specialist, collaborating with data processors, data owners, data stewards, technology teams, and multi-disciplinary project groups to improve and quantify the reliability of the data that underpins L&Q’s success.

You should have strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with an appreciation of the importance of accurate data and the ability to translate complex business concepts into clear, non-technical language. A willingness to learn data management concepts is essential, along with knowledge of basic SQL or the motivation to acquire it. You should also demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement, an enquiring mind, and a commitment to driving improvements. Finally, you will show a commitment to working in line with L&Q’s culture and values, with the ability to adapt to, embrace, and influence good working practices.

You will be based at either our Stratford (E15 4PH) or Manchester office, with travel between sites as needed (travel expenses between offices are reclaimable).

If you’re passionate about data, enjoy turning complex problems into practical solutions, and want to make a real difference in shaping L&Q’s future, we look forward to receiving your application.

We look forward to reviewing your application, and hearing about the genuine experiences and skills you could bring to our organisation. L&Q reserve the right to not accept statements that exceed 500 words.
