Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Remediation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for addressing and resolving data quality issues identified through NRI scans. This role requires proficiency in Perl scripting, Pentaho Data Integration, and Oracle PL/SQL. The candidate will work closely with database administrators and data analysts to ensure data integrity and accuracy across various environments. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently are essential for this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate is proficient in writing and maintaining Perl scripts for data processing and automation, with experience in using Perl for text manipulation, data extraction, and reporting. They are skilled in using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) for ETL processes, capable of designing and implementing data transformation workflows and job orchestration. The candidate has strong knowledge of Oracle databases and PL/SQL programming, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Additionally, they have familiarity with database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, and user management, along with an understanding of database security, performance monitoring, and optimization.

In terms of data analysis, the candidate is proficient in techniques to identify and resolve data quality issues, with experience in using analytical tools and techniques to derive insights from data. They have held roles such as Data Quality Analyst, where they developed and maintained Perl scripts for data validation and transformation, designed and implemented ETL workflows using Pentaho, and wrote and optimized PL/SQL queries for data extraction and reporting. They collaborated with database administrators to ensure efficient database operations and conducted data analysis to identify and remediate data quality issues.

The candidate may also have experience as a Database Administrator, managing Oracle databases, including backup, recovery, and performance tuning, implementing security measures, and monitoring database performance. They assisted in the design and implementation of database solutions. The candidate possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and the capacity to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
