Data Scientist

Insight Global are seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a strong background in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) on behalf of a multinational financial corporation. This role involves designing architectures, developing solutions, and working hands-on with structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems in a regulated banking environment.

Please note, this is for an indefinite rolling 6-month contract (Inside IR35) and requires 3 days a week onsite in Chester, 2 days remote.

Responsibilities Include:

• AML Compliance: Automating interpretation of onboarding policies for clients trading across multiple jurisdictions
• Legal Policy Analysis: Using AI to interpret and validate compliance with thousands of EU laws and regulations, replacing manual processes.
• Sanction Screening: Enhancing screening processes with AI-driven insights and human-in-the-loop validation.
• Financial Data Interpretation: Applying AI models to analyse and interpret complex financial datasets for risk and compliance.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Extensive experience working in complex environments, within large banking institutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including writing and optimizing prompts for LLMs.
• Solid understanding of data structures and ability to extract and manipulate data using SQL and other tools.
• Proven hands-on experience in AI/ML projects.
• Proven experience delivering Generative AI solutions using LLMs and other advanced AI techniques to solve business problems.
• Background in banking/finance, working with both structured and unstructured data in regulated environments.
• Ability to design AI/ML architectures and contribute to solution development as a hands-on team member.
• Awareness of emerging AI trends and their potential applications in financial services.
