We are seeking an experienced DataBricks Engineer for an exciting contract role based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative data engineering projects within a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimise scalable data pipelines using Databricks.
• Implement and manage data workflows in line with the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable ML Operations (MLOps), ensuring effective deployment of machine learning models.
• Maintain best practices in data governance, quality, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Databricks in a production environment.
• Strong understanding of the Medallion Architecture lifecycle (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Practical experience with ML Operations (MLOps) and associated tools.
• Solid knowledge of ETL processes and data modelling.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
