Your role
The Site Engineer III is responsible for the planning and control of all day-to-day maintenance activities in cooperation with the Lead Engineer and provide leadership to the site teams, including project management for maintenance related activities. This role is critical to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and deliver client satisfaction, and when applicable being part of a 7x24 shift rotation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead in upholding company safety policies, operational efficiency, and core values.
- Lead the planning and execution of equipment or system switching procedures, overseeing the process to guarantee smooth transitions and minimize downtime in data center operations.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Oversee maintenance and repair activities, including coordination with subcontractors.
- Manage on-call duties and incident resolution as needed.
- Document and analyze progress, issues, and outcomes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide comprehensive supervision, training, mentoring, and guidance to site engineers, fostering their professional development, and contributing to team development and recruitment efforts.
- Demonstrate mastery across a wide range of essential technical skills, including complex troubleshooting and project management.
- Possess in-depth expertise in the specialized technical field relevant to the position
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience in ‘Mission critical’ operations and maintenance of large scale electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems
- Technical education / training certification in the field of ‘Mission Critical’ Operations.
- Education to a vocational level in a technical field and/or site engineering position
- Skilled in maintenance of electrotechnical and/or mechanical systems
- Preferably skilled in the maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
- Novice in maintenance of conveyor technique (elevators), and/or technical security systems (CCTV, Access Control)
- HVAC Mechanical and/or Electrical
- Proficient in utilizing various test equipment.
- Having excellent problem analysis skills
- Pro-active with a Customer and Business focused and is searching for ways to enhance the agreed services to provide the customer with the best possible outcome.
- Has attention to detail and has a ‘Hands-on’ mentality.
- Good communication skills
- Can demonstrate excellent leadership skills in line with our company expectations.
