Tasks
Required
- Assist in the planning, design, and delivery of civil engineering projects such as highways, bridges, drainage, and infrastructure.
- Support senior engineers in site surveys, data collection, and reporting.
- Use CAD software to produce technical drawings and plans.
- Contribute to environmental and risk assessments.
- Attend site visits and support construction teams with technical information.
- Monitor project progress and help ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, and contractors.
- Supporting the Planning team in the collation and review of progress data for both short-term and longer-term planning.
Required
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, English, and Science.
- Level 3 qualifications (A-levels, BTEC or T Levels) in Maths or Science-related subjects.
- Strong interest in engineering and the built environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop both academically and professionally.
- Some prior experience or exposure to construction or engineering projects (e.g., through work experience or coursework).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or CAD software.
