Onsite Delivery Lead - Job Description
Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership
- Lead Agile delivery programs independently, ensuring successful execution across various commercial models (Fixed Price, T&M, Outcome-based).
- Manage delivery units ranging from €10M–€30M with team sizes of 100–300 professionals.
- Resolve day-to-day delivery impediments with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
- Support delivery readiness by identifying, onboarding, and mentoring talent (individuals and squads).
Solutioning and Technology Support
- Participate in customer conversations to support solutioning with conceptual architecture and delivery plans.
- Stay updated on digital trends such as SRE, automation testing, predictive analytics, AI, and DevOps.
- Provide technical support across backend, frontend, data, and DevOps stacks.
People Management
- Ensure squad members are integrated into both HCL and customer environments.
- Support career development, mentoring, and servant leadership practices.
- Facilitate integration of onsite teams with the parent organization through sprint meetups, upskilling, and cross-skilling initiatives.
- Collaborate with local agencies and universities to support future talent acquisition.
Agile Delivery Practices
- Deliver programs using SCRUM, Spotify, Kanban, or Story Points-based techniques.
- Guide teams on estimation, Agile ceremonies, and creation of Definition of Done (DoD) and Definition of Ready (DoR).
- Identify and resolve delivery impediments with practical, hands-on experience.
DEX (Delivery Excellence)
- Constructively challenge teams and customers on delivery execution, scope, and timelines.
- Provide practical solutions and demonstrate a “thinking on feet” approach.
Operational and Financial Management
- Support tracking of revenue, margin, ARC, and utilization for assigned programs.
- Coordinate delivery, customer communication, and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Manage delivery teams of 100–300 FTEs across onsite and offshore locations with revenue responsibility of €10M–€30M.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage customer and team communications to ensure Agile practices are followed.
- Support Agile governance frameworks to measure delivery progress.
- Lead teams with a servant leadership mindset and foster collaborative working environments.
Qualifications
Required
- 12–20 years of experience in IT delivery roles.
- Proven ability to run Agile delivery programs independently.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing delivery units of €10M–€30M with 100–300 team members.
- Hands-on experience across backend, frontend, data, and DevOps technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies including SCRUM, Spotify, Kanban, and Story Points.
- Practical experience in resolving delivery impediments.
Preferred
- Experience working with startup or small teams contributing to successful delivery.
- Awareness of digital transformation trends such as SRE, automation testing, AI, and predictive analytics.
- Exposure to talent development through partnerships with universities and local agencies.
