Job Purpose

We are pleased to share a brand new vacancy as a Delivery Manager within our Rainwater Management team. This might be one of our most exciting positions yet! Created as part of our AMP8 investment programme, this role will see you managing number of rainwater management programmes such as our recently piloted rainwater planter role out and other property interventions etc. There will be many more large and small projects to deliver so we are looking for someone with the gravitas and commercial acumen to deliver these projects across the business. From Sustainable Drainage to branding and communications, there will be ample opportunities to get stuck into. You will be involved in creating the design and delivery of these projects working closely with stakeholders across the business. As such we are looking for someone with a strong management background with an excellent eye for commercials and business development mindset.

You will provide strategic leadership in the development of new commercial business opportunities and also oversee various programmes, including delivery of thousands of rainwater capture interventions to our customers and also providing key survey and maintenance activities across the Rainwater Management portfolio.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and programme management for delivery of large programme of property level (Household & Non-Household) rainwater capture interventions across AMP8
• Lead the creation of a new business unit to deliver property level rainwater capture intervention
• Expand and grow the business unit, maximising commercial opportunities
• Provide strategic leadership in the development and embedment of a Maintenance activities for Rainwater Management across UU
• Oversee the delivery of key construction, installation and maintenance programmes across Rainwater Management
• Develop and maintain resource plans; ensuring appropriate internal and external resources are in place to deliver the workload
• Ensure projects are designed and delivered in a safe manner whilst maximising efficiencies and achieving business objectives
• Ensure all Construction, Design and Management (CDM) duties are discharged effectively
• Provide strategic communications leadership; ensuring that interventions are delivered to customer satisfaction and maximising internal/external communications showcasing project successes

Technical Skills & Experience

• Educated to degree level and chartered (or equivalent experience)
• Significant experience delivering large programmes of work (typically high volume small projects) with a demonstrable track record of budgetary, resource and contract performance management.
• Demonstrable expertise in delivering complex programmes to challenging timelines, balancing conflicting project priorities to ensure the successful delivery of agreed programme benefits.
• Experienced leader with strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, with a proven ability in managing relationships at all levels of seniority through effective communication.
• Highly developed communication and influencing skills combined with the ability to manage a diverse customer base and the confidence to constructively challenge actions/decisions.
• Flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpected events, having the ability to develop creative solutions to problems
• Significant passion to deliver Rainwater Management solutions (SuDS, Partnership, Blue/Green, Disconnections, Infiltration etc) and enhance our communities and the natural environment
