Role: Securities Practice Manager
We are seeking experienced Managers with a strong background in
Securities Operations and Technology Change. This role involves working closely with clients to enhance front-to-back securities processes, systems, and controls; optimise the use of market infrastructure; and address regulatory and market-driven changes such as
CSDR and
accelerated settlement.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the securities lifecycle, from trade execution to settlement, and experience in project management or business analysis within securities change initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery
- Analyse, design, and implement solutions tailored to client needs.
- Manage and contribute to the delivery of client projects.
- Engage with clients during solution development and proposal phases.
- Communicate client issues and solutions effectively, representing the firm as a thought leader.
- Escalate risks or concerns related to client proposals for timely resolution.
New Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Support sales teams by advising on solution approaches for campaigns requiring Practice expertise.
- Contribute to the campaign pipeline through horizon scanning and opportunity analysis.
Partnership & Teamwork
- Support the growth and development of the Practice and wider firm.
- Assist in recruiting top talent across all levels.
- Collaborate across teams to leverage internal capabilities and promote cross-Practice learning.
- Participate in internal initiatives focused on learning, development, and team building.
- Mentor junior colleagues and lead by example.
Experience
About You
- Background in financial services consulting or change management within Capital Markets (preferably post-trade).
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Consulting
- Programme/Project Management
- Business Analysis
- Capital Markets
- Post-trade Processing
- Financial Market Infrastructure or Post-trade FinTech
- Strategy, Operating Model, and Process Design
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of capital markets and the regulatory landscape.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one asset class or functional area is preferred.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Effective team collaboration and inclusive mindset.
- Resilience, adaptability, and ability to manage ambiguity.
