RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Manager to join our Trunk Main Conditioning (TMC) & Water Quality team for our Water Consulting business. This is a senior-level position and will deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland.
About You
As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as Delivery Manager is critical to helping us deliver great projects for our Water Industry clients. You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.
As well as supporting the day-to-day operations, the Delivery Manager will support, develop, and manage growth within the team.

Your Responsibilities
- Manage the TMC delivery programme within our Water Consultancy business.
- Deliver a high level of customer service to our external and internal customers.
- Safety, ethics, integrity, and the environment – always embraces and upholds RPS's high professional standards, and advocacy - an ambassador for our wider business at all times.
- Manage the day-to-day running of field staff members initially, with a view to this increasing in line with our growth plan.
- Clean Water Networks – knowledge and understanding of network hydraulics and asset types found on these networks.
- Experienced in highway working NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding qualification.
- Experience and awareness of managing work in high-risk environments highways.
- Team leadership - experience of successfully leading integrated/blended/diverse/multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outputs and programme outcomes.
- Communication – high emotional intelligence - listens and questions effectively, concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Strive to exceed client aspiration and are goal driven.
- You will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of field-based teams, ideally gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable, operational environment.
- You will have proven experience managing performance and able to implement change.
- Proficient in the use of the MS office suite, work management systems and applications are essential.
- Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
- A degree qualified in a relevant subject is desirable although significant previous experience will be considered.
- IOSH managing safely.
- A full UK driving license is also essential.
