About the Role

We are looking for an analytical and commercially savvy Demand Planner to join our expanding team. In this pivotal role, you will lead demand forecasting and inventory planning to drive optimal stock performance across our retail and wholesale channels. This role does not include manufacturing or day-to-day logistics planning.

You will collaborate with buying, commercial, and supply teams to align forecasts with business goals—using data, tools, and processes to make sure the right products are available at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

📊 Forecasting & Planning

• Create and maintain accurate demand forecasts across a broad SKU base using historical data, market trends, and promotional insights.
• Participate in monthly demand planning and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cycles to build consensus forecasts.
• Forecast for new product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns using data-driven models.

📦 Inventory & Purchase Management

• Maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize stock-outs or overstock through timely replenishment.
• Generate and manage purchase orders aligned with lead times, trading plans, and sales forecasts.
• Analyse inventory health, product velocity, and classification (A/B/C) to improve stock turn and working capital.

📈 Analysis & Reporting

• Track forecast accuracy and provide variance analysis with corrective action recommendations.
• Produce monthly reports to highlight key metrics such as demand accuracy, service levels, and aged stock.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-led insight generation and root-cause analysis.

🛠️ Systems & Process Improvement

• Maintain product master data within ERP systems including cost, dimensions, mapping, and pricing.
• Partner with IT and Ops teams to drive automation and integration of planning tools and dashboards.
• Contribute to ERP and planning tool enhancements and process automation initiatives.

🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Buyers, Category Managers, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure stock strategies align with revenue and margin goals.
• Communicate demand shifts and risk/opportunity analysis to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.

About You

• 2+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or inventory planning—ideally in FMCG, retail, or distribution environments.
• Highly proficient in Excel and experienced with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics).
• Exposure to demand planning tools (e.g., SAP APO, Anaplan) or BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solver.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field (preferred).

• Inventory Turn Ratio and Stock Age Targets
• PO Timeliness and Fill Rate KPIs

📍Location & Working Model

This role is office-based at our West London HQ with one remote day per week (Thursday). Office is currently in TW8, however soon relocating to our new home located in UB8!
