Job overview
We are seeking a detail-orientated and organised Medico-Legal Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the Trust's Losses and Compensation process and will assist the team with case-coordination of both Inquests and negligence matters.
Main duties of the job
To provide a high level of administrative support to the Medico-Legal Manager and Deputy Claims and Inquest Managers in relation to Negligence claims and Inquests and to manage a small caseload of Employer and Public Liability claims.
To manage a significant caseload of Losses and Compensation claims, which will involve investigating the claim, liaising with patients and presenting the claim to the Losses and Compensation Panel for approval/rejection.
To provide administrative support in the form of report writing and minute taking and to act upon any emails received in the generic Medico-Legal Department inbox and allocate them to the team, as required.
