We’re recruiting for a Deputy Manager to oversee cleaning operations across a number of client sites, supporting the delivery of high-quality services while driving continuous improvement.

This is a varied and evolving role, offering genuine opportunities for growth, additional training, and progression across wider areas and contracts.

Job Description

As Deputy Manager, you’ll take a hands-on approach to leadership—ensuring safety, compliance, and service standards are consistently met, while motivating and developing your team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support cleaning operatives to meet high service standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with site specifications.
• Manage cleaning assets, equipment, and stock control across multiple locations.
• Motivate and develop the team to promote a positive and efficient working environment.
• Provide weekly reports on attendance, absences, and overtime.
• Uphold health, safety, and welfare responsibilities as per ISS policy.
• Plan and deliver induction training for new team members.
• Conduct regular training reviews and maintain up-to-date development plans.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

• Proven experience managing and developing teams, preferably in a facilities or cleaning services environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in reporting, compliance, and basic financial administration.
