We have an exciting opportunity for a band 6 deputy team leader in York hospitals acute theatre team.
We are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic practitioner with the appropriate clinical and scrub experience to help lead our acute theatre.
You will work alongside your Band 7 to support our dedicated team and continuously develop our service to provide excellent care for our patients. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate a keen interest in improving and developing their leadership skills to enable management of staff, be an effective role model demonstrating high levels of clinical competence & expertise. Have the ability to confidently Coordinate the Multidisciplinary team and be able to confidently manage challenging situations.
You will have a minimum of 3 years’ Band 5 theatre scrub experience. You should be able to demonstrate involvement in service improvement with some evidence of change management. You will demonstrate skills in self-management including time management, prioritisation and organisational skills.
This is a demanding role where you will be expected to exhibit knowledge of how we work towards our Trust's vision and be a real team player. All shifts are 11.5 hours minus breaks, 07.45-20.15 or 20.00-08.00 covering weekends and bank holiday. You must be able to commit to a rotating shift pattern.
