Title: Designated Safeguarding Lead (Interim)
Location: Preston and Surrounding Areas
Salary: £60,000 Pro Rata
Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversight, support and audit of business units & quality areas of the region (s). Or as directed by Regional Lead.
- Perform competently, in line with Ofsted guidance for ensuring homes are compliant with the children’s homes regulations.
- Robust safeguarding practices in line with Designated safeguarding lead responsibility.
- Assist the Regional Manager (s) in driving the improvements agenda for all residential children’s services in the regions portfolio and maintaining and promoting best practice.
- Assisting the regional manger (s) to deliver key KPI and quality performance targets set at the beginning of the financial year, with regular review against performance throughout.
- Undertaking tasks set out by the RI in line with the region’s development plan around safeguarding, quality, occupancy, HR matters and supervision and appraisal of registered managers.
- Supporting the Regional manager to meet the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly objectives set out for the regional manager role.
- Input and oversite into new developments, including ongoing support once open.
- A sound knowledge of Ofsted, the Social care common inspection framework and how to support managers to deliver a service that aims to be outstanding.
- Partnership working with both internal and external services in order to deliver quality outcomes in all areas of the business.
Safeguarding
