Are you a creative and detail-driven designer with a passion for luxury yachts? At Princess Yachts, we’re looking for a Graduate Designer / Designer with experience or education in Furniture or Physical Product Design to join our dynamic design team. What You'll Do

You’ll be responsible for interpreting design briefs and developing interior furniture, fixtures, and fittings—while integrating engineering systems seamlessly. Using your design expertise, critical thinking, and understanding of aesthetics and manufacturing, you’ll help create exceptional products. You’ll follow your designs through to production, with regular visits to our feeder factories and boat lines, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring your ideas to life.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for yacht interiors post-concept, focusing on furniture, fixtures, and fittings
• Create 3D NX models for further development by the CAD team
• Design intelligent, space-efficient furniture (e.g., coffee tables, bars, storage solutions) aligned with project briefs and brand direction
• Support production with design updates, product improvements, and standardisation for future projects
• Contribute to R&D initiatives, ensuring designs meet both aesthetic and technical requirements
• Finalise 3D models and produce technical drawings for manufacturing and assembly
• Collaborate with Engineering, Tooling, CAD, and Naval Architecture teams
• Participate in new product development (NPD) and change management during production
• Regularly visit production sites to support the transition of designs into manufacturing

Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Product Design, Furniture Design or Design Engineering.
• Experience in furniture design is highly desirable
• Proficient in 3D CAD (Siemens NX preferred), with knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) and upholstery
• Strong skills in interior furniture design and manufacturing processes
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking abilities
• Confident presenting ideas both verbally and through sketching.
