About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide hands-on technical support to end users. The role involves diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues to ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations.

This position is ideal for IT professionals with strong troubleshooting skills and experience supporting users in a corporate or enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end users
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues
Support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and applications
Assist with user account management and access permissions
Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)
Log, track, and resolve incidents using ticketing systems
Escalate complex issues to relevant IT teams when required
Maintain clear documentation of issues and resolutions

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience in Desktop Support, IT Support, or Service Desk roles
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and end-user applications
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience using IT ticketing or service management tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills with a customer-service mindset
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

Experience with Active Directory or user access management
Exposure to endpoint management or device deployment tools
Basic knowledge of hardware asset management
IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, ITIL, or equivalent)
Experience supporting users in a corporate or enterprise environment
