12 month fixed term contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Reloading client O/S (Rebuild)
- Hardware troubleshooting
- Hardware repairs (out of warranty using stock parts)
- Hardware repairs (in warranty – Lenovo): Lenovo warranty training and certification will be provided.
- Dismantling beyond economical repair devices to be used for donor parts.
- Cleaning devices to a high standard ready to be put back into circulation.
Other beneficial skills:
- Understanding on Service Now – Employee will not be responsible for their own queue however access to service now will be given to check the service history of devices that are coming in due to a fault.
- Understanding on Active Directory – Employee will not be responsible for maintaining AD, but there is possibilities employee will be responsible for changing the AD group of devices that come in due to deactivation.
- Understanding on Asset / software transfer tool.
- Good excel skills for basic reporting.
- Basic understanding on AMDB / CMDB
- Majority of time the role will not be user / client facing, but there will be times where the engineer will need to attend meetings / phone meetings where the client might be present. Communication skills will be an important part of this role.
- Understanding on stock management (for parts).
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
