The Opportunity/Role 📢

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Despatch Team Leader to join our operations here in Warboys. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, responsible to supervise the picking and packing Operations of manufactured goods and all the associated processes. Co-ordinating day-to-day activities with a primary focus on health and safety maintenance and improvement.

Main Responsibilities Will Include

• Maintain a safe environment and challenge the status quo to generate improvement plans.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety and environmental standards.
• Complete Site H&S, driver & standards audits.
• Plan the team to optimise output levels.
• Co-ordinate the picking, packing & loading ensuring 100% OTIF.
• Developing the teams to promote complete flexibility.
• Communicating with all departments to create a ‘team’ ethos.
• Review all processes to improve efficiencies.
• Maintain accurate stock levels.
• Champion continual improvement projects aimed at enhancing service levels and reducing credits.
• Ensuring processes are followed to minimise errors and omissions.
• Review and improve the visual aspect of all working areas.
• Have flexibility to work in other areas of the logistics operation to provide support.
• Maintaining systems to ensure compliance with external auditing requirements.
• Flexibility to work between Warboys and Wyton sites.
• Arrange carrier delivery paperwork and labelling.
• Support the Export function.
  
  

Requirements

• A minimum of 1-year Supervisory experience
• Evidence of delivering continuous improvement projects
• IT literate
• H&S knowledge & drive
• A minimum 1 years’ experience of using an ERP system
• Counterbalance licence
