We're looking for a Development Manager to join our Kier Property Team based in London.
Location: London - hybrid working available, with travel to sites and offices required 3 days per week
Hours: 37.5 – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us
What will you be responsible for?
As a Development Manager, you'll be working within the Kier Property Team, supporting them in the leading and responsibility for projects covering all aspects of the development process.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Seek new opportunities, analysing project appraisals in line with the business strategy and outlining strategies to secure opportunities identified.
- Maintain understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform project decision-making. Leverage market intelligence to drive innovation and enhance competitive positioning.
- Complete Board Papers to obtain approval for projects with final review by the Senior Development Director.
- Working with Senior Development Managers / Development Directors to obtain planning approval for the proposed development in-line with development appraisal assumptions.
What are we looking for?
This role of Development Manager is great for you if:
- Experience in the development sector including identifying investments, negotiating lease agreements / end user requirements and ideally investment disposal.
- Experience with working in Industrial Sector in Development
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is encouraged though is not essential.
- Have shown the ability to motivate and manage both yourself and the whole team.
- Have shown the ability to work with and negotiate directly ideally with private and public sector clients.
- Have shown the ability to build and maintain a network industry contacts
