Are you a highly skilled trimmer with a passion for automotive craftsmanship? We are seeking a Development Trimmer to join our dynamic team on a contract basis, supporting one of the UK’s leading automotive OEMs based in Gaydon. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge seat development projects, turning design concepts into physical prototypes.
As a Development Trimmer, you will collaborate closely with our Technical Specialist to deliver feasibility studies through the creation of physical seats. You’ll be responsible for full trimming—from patterning to final fitting—while working with premium materials and advanced seat technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in full seat trimming and finishing.
- Strong understanding of seat production and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with seat functionality systems (airbags, climate control).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
- Experience working with a variety of materials including leather and textiles.
- Knowledge of safe workshop practices and H&S compliance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience in accessory development and production.
- Knowledge of mass production processes and textile applications.
