Role Summary

We are hiring a permanent DevOps Consultant to help design, build and run Azure based platforms and delivery pipelines. You will work in multi disciplined teams, improving how we provision infrastructure, ship software and operate services. Training is provided to support your growth across cloud, automation and DevOps best practice.

Responsibilities

Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for modern application delivery

Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and IaC patterns

Design and operate Azure landing zones and cloud environments

Implement secure by default controls including identity, networking and secrets management

Support release management, deployment strategies and environment promotion

Improve reliability with monitoring, alerting, logging and incident response practices

Work closely with engineers, architects and security specialists to deliver outcomes

Contribute to documentation, playbooks and continuous improvement across teams

Contribute to pre-sales activities, estimations and working closely with senior stakeholders.

Experience Skills and Experience

Strong hands-on Azure experience across core services (compute, networking, IAM, storage)
Terraform (must have) including modules, state management and environment separation
CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions preferred)
Scripting capability (PowerShell or Bash) and comfort with automation
Experience with containers (Docker) and practical understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals

Solid grasp of DevOps practices including branching, releases, testing and observability

Security minded approach including least privilege and secure configuration

Desirable Skills

Time management
Agile delivery
AWS experience (optional)
Kubernetes in production (AKS preferred)
Policy as code and governance (Azure Policy, OPA or similar)
Monitoring stacks (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus or similar)
Experience working with regulated environments or public sector delivery

Any of the following are a plus but not required:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
HashiCorp Terraform certification (also valued)
