Job Overview
The diabetic team is excited to announce a secondment opportunity to join the Diabetes Team as a Band 6 Diabetes Midwife at Frimley Park Hospital.
The post holder will be a member of the obstetric diabetic team and liaise with the general diabetic team to provide ongoing education and advice to the pregnant woman with diabetes, their family and to other health professionals involved in their care.
This role includes both hospital and possible community hub working.
Post holder will need the ability to travel between hubs when required.
Main duties of the job
- To manage the care of pregnant women and give appropriate advice and treatment throughout the pregnancy.
- To manage the caseload of diabetic women across the trust, managing time, resources and the clinics in which they are seen.
