To provide a comprehensive secretarial/administrative service to the UGI/HPB team.
To optimise and streamline existing secretarial processes used within the UGI/HPB dietetic team.
To provide admin support to the dietetic UGI/HPB team outpatient clinics.
Liaise with patients regarding nutritional supplement preferences.
To be an effective team member and provide assistance to the staff in the Dietetic Service.
The Admin Assistant Will Support The Dietitians In Providing a Service To Patients Within The UGI/HPB Team By Undertaking The Following
- Dietetic Outpatient Clinics
- Administration : including but not limited to:
- Triage email, voicemail, letters, telephone calls
- Produce word processed documents such as letters, reports, guidelines as required by the dietitian
4.3 Clinical Practice
- Document any patient related activity onto the EPR in accordance with departmental standards.
4.4 Information Technology
- Be familiar with Trust patient administration systems
- Be able to use Excel, Microsoft Word, One Drive, Microsoft Outlook
4.5 Communication
- Understand and maintain issues of confidentiality at all times
- Maintain good interpersonal skills with staff and colleagues
4.6 Personal and Professional Development
- Participate in the Trusts appraisal system
- Undertake mandatory training
4.8 Stock Control
- Ensure there is an adequate stock of dietary information leaflets and order more as required
4.9 Risk Management
- Monitor and maintain health and safety and security of self and others in the work area
- take appropriate action to manage an emergency situation with patients or colleagues.
