Role Overview
We are looking for a self-motivated analytics specialist to join our small analytics team, which sits within the wider marketing department. You will support both external clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring that data tracking, reporting, and optimisation processes are set up to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical implementation skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Tracking & Implementation
- Audit, set up, and maintain tracking across web and app properties using GTM, GA4, Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, and other key platforms.
- Create and manage measurement plans, ensuring tracking requirements are clearly documented and implemented.
- Implement and QA tags, triggers, and variables in GTM, including custom data layer integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tracking fires quickly.
- Stay current on tracking best practices, privacy regulations, and cookie management (training can be provided).
- Reporting & Insights
- Build bespoke dashboards in Looker Studio, including advanced integrations via Supermetrics and similar tools.
- Develop automated reporting solutions to reduce manual effort.
- Pull ad hoc and recurring performance reports across channels, synthesising data into clear insights for stakeholders.
- Visualise and communicate insights that tell the story of customer behaviour, marketing performance, and opportunities.
- Optimisation (Nice to Have)
- Contribute to CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) initiatives, including A/B testing and customer journey analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve digital experiences and campaign performance.
Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in GA4 implementation and GTM tag management.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads, etc.) and how they integrate with analytics.
- Experience building dashboards in Looker Studio, with data integrations or similar tools
- Strong analytical skills. able to interpret data and communicate insights clearly.
- Understanding of cookie consent management and privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA) — training can be provided.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable learning new tools independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CRO tools (e.g. Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO).
- Familiarity with SQL or BigQuery for advanced data analysis.
- Experience working closely with developers and UX teams.
- Cookie compliance management — configuring and maintaining consent management platforms (OneTrust, Cookiebot, etc.).
- Conducting website compliance scans to identify tracking or privacy issues.
- Ensuring websites and apps remain compliant with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, ePrivacy).
- Understanding of broader digital governance practices (documentation, processes, version control for tracking).
