Digital & Automation Executive


Reports To: Digital & Automation Manager


Role Purpose


The Digital & Automation Executive will support the Digital & Automation Manager in implementing, maintaining and improving digital systems and automated workflows across the Group.


This is a hands-on support role focused on building workflows, maintaining system accuracy, supporting reporting, and helping departments adopt digital tools effectively. The role plays an important part in reducing manual administration, improving data accuracy, and supporting operational efficiency.



Key Responsibilities

  • Automation & Workflow Support
  • Build and maintain automated workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate and other approved platforms.
  • Assist with system integrations to reduce manual data entry.
  • Test and troubleshoot workflows prior to deployment.
  • Monitor automation performance and flag issues to the Digital & Automation Manager.
  • Systems Administration & Support
  • Provide first-line support for system users across departments.
  • Maintain user access, permissions and basic system configuration.
  • Assist with system updates and improvements.
  • Document processes and create simple user guides.

  • Data & Reporting

    • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards and KPI trackers (Excel / Power BI where applicable).
    • Clean and validate data to ensure reporting accuracy.
    • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reporting packs.
    • Help standardise reporting templates across sites.


    Project & Implementation Support

    • Support digital implementation projects led by the Digital & Automation Manager.
    • Assist with rollout of new systems or process changes.
    • Track project milestones and maintain documentation.
    • Provide on-site support during system launches where required.


    Continuous Improvement

    • Identify small-scale process improvements within departments.
    • Suggest practical automation opportunities.
    • Support managers in adopting digital tools effectively.


    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Accuracy and reliability of automated workflows.
  • Reduction in manual data entry tasks.
  • System user support response times.
  • Data accuracy across reporting.
  • Successful support of digital rollout projects.

  • Skills & Experience Required


    Essential

    • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
    • Strong Excel skills (formulas, data analysis, pivot tables).
    • Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Make or similar).
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Good communication skills and confidence working across departments.


    Desirable

    • Experience within manufacturing, logistics or production environments.
    • Exposure to HRIS, payroll, CRM or finance systems.
    • Basic knowledge of data protection principles (GDPR).
    • Experience supporting system implementation projects.
