Purpose
Role
This role involves working closely with members of the Marketing and Communications team, supporting the delivery of key activities with a focus on creating content for Women for Women Internationals digital channels. This role contributes to the delivery of the key objectives of the Marketing and Communications team:
- To increase awareness of Women for Women International (the number of people who see and think about our work).
- To increase the number of opted-in email subscribers.
To convert supporters from people who do (follow us on social media, sign up to the mailing list) to people who care (fundraise, donate, take an action, share and create user-generated content).
Key Responsibilities Engagement
- Work closely with team members across the UK organization providing communications support especially in terms of the website, social media and email marketing. Collaborating with colleagues in the US and Germany on a daily basis, coordinating on campaigns and daily social media schedule and creating content together. Leading on a weekly call with the US and Germany to discuss content.
- Support in managing relationships with influencers, Champions and Ambassadors.
- Work with various digital agencies.
Delivery
Website (10%)
- Support the Digital Marketing Lead to create website content, including copywriting, page editing and design, and managing the sign-off process for webpage content.
- Support in maintaining a strong and productive relationship with a web development agency to ensure website content and functionality is maximised.
- Support with website analytics and monthly reporting.
Social Media Management and Digital Content Creation (40%)
- Support the execution of an integrated strategy for our social media channels to including leading on content planning and creation, posting and analysis.
- Staying on top of trends and learning from analytics to create compelling and engaging content that meets agreed KPIs.
- Produce high-quality multimedia content including photo and video editing and creating compelling graphics.
- Support on digital ads delivery.
- Support in managing relationships with digital agencies.
- Support other teams across Women for Women International to use social media as a method to engage and communicate with key audiences and stakeholders.
- Work with the Digital Fundraising & Marketing Lead on managing third party specialists (freelancer or agency) to maximise our website maintenance and development, digital projects, paid advertising to ensure good return on investment and that objectives are met on time and on budget.
Email Marketing (20%)
- Act as social media content lead for major campaigns and fundraising activities; recommend and execute social media strategies to achieve fundraising and campaign objectives and KPIs.
- Support the delivery of the Marketing and Communications team email marketing programme to meet agreed open and click-through rate KPIs.
- Build, design and send acquisition and retention emails using the email distribution system (Marketing Cloud).
- Review and analyse email marketing results, report and evaluate overall and specific campaign success.
I
nfluencer outreach and Champion and Ambassador support (10%)
- Support the Head of Special Events & Philanthropy to deliver both the UK and Global Ambassador 5* engagement strategy.
- Support the cultivation of existing and new celebrity supporters and Ambassadors. Work across teams to coordinate asks/outreach and ensure RMs are briefed and advise so that cultivation plans are delivered.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to identify new potential celebrity supporters and influencers, pull together one-pagers and coordinate Board sign-off process and develop recruitment plans to bring them on board.
Project management (10%)
- Co-leading on specific digital campaigns and projects throughout the year.
Team Admin (10%)
- Support any member of the team with administrative work as needed.
- Coordinate team meetings, book rooms, and create and circulate agendas and minutes.
- Manage and catalogue digital assets (photos, case studies and videos) and upload them to digital asset management system.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as required by your line manager.
Talent and Abilities Required
- Must have a strong knowledge of social media trends and passion for creating engaging content. Proven experience of managing social media channels. This can include using social media in a volunteer role, a workplace or for a personal project
- Passion for digital communications and social media platforms stays up to date on newest trends and is excited about finding new creative ways of communicating
- Image and video editing and graphic creation (Photoshop, Canva or similar)
- Confidence juggling multiple projects and deadlines
- Using an email marketing system (WfWI-UK currently uses Marketing Cloud)
- Working with a website content management system (creating webpages)
- Experience of using analytics insights (social media or Google Analytics for the website) to create reports. An ability to use these reports to make informed decisions when planning content based on what has performed well in the past
- Creative and entrepreneurial, identifies and maximises opportunities
- Calm under pressure, able to juggle multiple deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communicator, written and oral
- Accountable team player, who can work across a multi-disciplinary team
- Analytical mind, constantly seeking to improve results and achieve goals

- Motivated to build and nurture positive professional relationships
Preferred
- Experience of project management
- Some knowledge of/experience of setting up digital ads, specifically Facebook Ads
- A passion for global issues, womens empowerment and human rights
