Digital Growth Marketing Manager – Subscription Media
A leading independent media group with a portfolio of high-profile digital publications is looking for a commercially minded and hands-on Digital Growth Marketing Manager. Their newly formed in-house creative and performance team supports the growth of multiple titles across politics, culture, and the arts — blending editorial credibility with sharp marketing execution to drive subscriptions and build long-term reader engagement.
This role will suit a growth marketer with a deep understanding of the customer journey across acquisition and onboarding, and a passion for turning audiences into loyal paying subscribers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Plan and execute full-funnel campaigns focused on subscriber growth from paid media to onboarding and early retention
- Develop multi-channel strategies across Meta, Google, YouTube, newsletters, web and mobile
- Optimise sign-up and activation journeys, including email flows, landing pages, push notifications, and in-app messaging
- Own campaign reporting and performance tracking, focusing on conversion, LTV, and channel ROI
- Work cross-functionally with product, editorial, design, and data teams to ensure an exceptional user experience
- Run structured A/B and multivariate testing to inform acquisition and onboarding tactics
- Manage promotions, metering journeys, and conversion points across websites and platforms
- Ensure all campaigns are brand-aligned yet performance-focused, adapting messaging per title and channel
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing, ideally in a subscription, media, or DTC environment
- Proven hands-on campaign execution across Meta, Google Ads, YouTube, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of customer journeys, funnels, LTV modelling, and attribution
- Experience with marketing and analytics tools like GA4, Parse.ly, Customer.io, Campaign Monitor, or equivalents
- Working knowledge of tools such as Zephr or Piano a plus; basic HTML/CSS useful but not essential
- Strong creative judgement and an eye for design, UX, and copy
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable operating across multiple brand teams
