Working at a media agency

Simply put, a media agency takes a client’s messaging for their brand and looks at how best to strategically communicate it to the consumer, taking into account people’s habits and behaviours (when and what they watch, read, listen to, how they buy products etc.). A media agency will typically have many departments that cover each specialist area within this process, all working together to deliver commercially successful, outstanding campaigns for the client.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Digital Standards Executive to help drive best in class standards across Programmatic, Paid Search and Paid Social activity for Diageo. Reporting to the Digital Standards Manager, this person will be responsible for implementing key processes that ensure we meet our agency commitments to the client. Broader responsibilities will include supporting the Digital Standards Manager in identifying opportunities to improve existing processes or creating new ones for more efficient and brand-safe media buying , building internal training, supporting across wider team workstreams (such as data, privacy and buying) and identifying gaps/areas for improvement across the media ops function.


The Digital Standard Executive role is a brilliant opportunity to develop key knowledge and skills across the digital media landscape (programmatic, paid social & search), working with various stakeholders from PHD, also working on Diageo (teams include: global operations, activation teams, account management).


As this is an entry level role, no previous experience is necessary. All we need you to be is curious, analytical, hardworking, and an all-round nice person.



CORE DIGITAL STANDARDS RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the vetting and onboarding of new publishers/media partners to Diageo’s Trusted Marketplace – building close partnerships with successful publishers/vendors
  • Identify campaign performance trends with Diageo’s 3rd party verification partner, to ensure compliant campaigns through weekly reporting covering brand suitability, viewability & fraud.
  • Oversee the correct implementation and effective utilisation of technology by our activation teams, and troubleshooting any issues teams maybe having. Types of technologies include DSPs, social platforms and 3rd party partners
  • Design and produce training materials to uphold best in class media buying and confident in delivering this training
  • Pixel management


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A proactive initiator with an entrepreneurial spirit; thrives in taking the initiative to complete tasks, but also curious about improving processes
  • Analytical and meticulous – prior experience with Excel is a plus
  • Enthusiastic about learning and developing new skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eager to delve deep into the world of media and gain comprehensive knowledge of the landscape, particularly digital
  • A team-player who is adept at building relationships across diverse teams in different markets, in a culturally considerate manner
  • Excellent organisational skills; capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines, while being able to articulate when additional support or guidance is necessary
  • Attention to detail
  • Adept at learning new platforms

Flexible Working
