Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project/Programme Manager to support the implementation of a new Operational Model system aimed at delivering continuous improvement across Future Cruise/Anti-Ship Weapon (FC/ASW) domains. This role will provide critical support to the New Business & Transformation Team within the FC/ASW project, with a focus on Secure Communications and Digital Tools Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide project management support to the Secure Communication workstream of the Transformation Strategy, facilitating the development of a secure network between UK and Italy to enable effective collaboration on multinational bid activities.
- Define and deliver a Digital Tools Strategy by assessing the current toolset, identifying functionality gaps, and conducting user story gap analysis.
- Own and maintain the digital tools roadmap to drive productivity improvements, including provision of regular progress updates for internal stakeholders.
- Document the rollout of all digital tools within the FC/ASW team, including processes, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure the implementation of digital tools allows full functionality to be utilised and embedded within the team’s ways of working.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary point of contact for all digital connectivity-related queries.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for further digital efficiencies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the FC/ASW programme, identifying and supporting the implementation of productivity enhancements.
- Provide support to transformation projects and cross-functional improvement efforts as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Project Management or Operational Management within a transformation or continuous improvement environment.
- Working knowledge of Knowledge Management principles and best practices.
- A pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with the ability to balance innovation against programme timelines and strategic objectives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Additional Requirements
- Occasional travel to Italy is required; therefore, only UK nationals will be considered for this role.
