Digitalization Manager/Lead – Project Management and Delivery, Transport Major Projects

Ramboll’s Transport Major Projects division is strengthening its digital capabilities to meet the growing complexity of large infrastructure projects. To support this ambition, we are now looking for a Digitalization Manager/Lead to drive the development and implementation of modern, data-driven project management and delivery practices. Your new role and team
You will be part of the Project Management & Delivery (PMD) department within Ramboll’s Transport Major Projects Spearhead — a global division delivering some of the most complex bridge, tunnel, and large infrastructure projects across Europe and beyond.
Our team consists of experienced project managers, controllers, and digital leads working in a collaborative and international environment. We support and manage flagship projects such as the Yellow Line in Sweden, the Storstrøm Bridge in Denmark, and Fehmarn Sound Tunnel in Germany, combining advanced digital tools with sound engineering management.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Lead the implementation of digital project management practices across Transport Major Projects, ensuring consistent use of data-driven tools and methods.
- Develop and maintain templates and Power BI dashboards for Delivery Model Baseline (DMB), KPI tracking, cost and progress monitoring, and Earned Value analysis
- Integrate project-control systems such as Maconomy, Power BI, ResPlan, and PI Tool into a single coherent data flow supporting transparency and governance.
- Coordinate closely with Digital Delivery Managers and Design Managers to link design data with project management and financial information, enabling full traceability from design to execution.
- Support project mobilization and handover from tender by setting up digital monitoring structures, ensuring DMB alignment and compliance with Ramboll’s governance model
- Contribute to the continuous development of the Major Projects Handbook, particularly its Project
- Management and Digitalization chapters
- Provide guidance and training to project managers, controllers, and design leads on digital best practices, standard tools, and reporting routines
- Capture and share lessons learned to improve project predictability, profitability, and efficiency across the Major Projects portfolio
- Collaborate with Ramboll Tech / IDT teams on future system development and platform integration to
- strengthen digital maturity in project execution
- Drive digital innovation in Spearhead projects, commencing at tender stage, to improve design delivery, agility and adaptability in our projects
- Be responsible for ensuring that all projects have a digital ambition, a developed action plan to achieve this ambition and implementation of the plan in all projects. This includes project management, design
- management and technical excellence
About You

- You are passionate about digital transformation in major infrastructure projects and enjoy connecting technology, design, and project management.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Bachelor’s considered with strong experience).
- At least 5 years of experience in similar role, with a focus on digitalization and transport
- You demonstrate a strategic mindset and the ability to translate digital opportunities into practical improvements.
- Proven track record in project management and delivery, with excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You communicate fluently in English; additional languages (e.g., Finnish, Danish, German, Swedish) are considered an asset.
