About Skyscanner

Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That’s why we’ve spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily.

Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet’s go-to travel hack accessible for all. Our vision? To be the world’s number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that’s what got us here.)

Now, we’re looking for a Director of Commercial Analytics on a 12-month fixed-term basis, to lead a high-performing team and advance our data-driven culture.

About The Role

Hybrid

This is a high-impact, fixed-term leadership opportunity at the heart of Skyscanner’s data strategy. You’ll manage a team of ~15 analysts embedded across Commercial, Media, and Central Reporting, ensuring insight drives decisions at every level.

You'll partner with senior stakeholders across the business to support performance, lead strategic initiatives, and shape the evolution of analytics as a discipline. This role reports into the Head of Analytics and is ideal for a dynamic, hands-on leader ready to make an impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partnering for performance: You’ll act as the primary analytics partner for Advertising, Commercial and Media teams — embedding data into strategic and day-to-day decisions.
  • Translating goals into action: You’ll align business and revenue priorities with analytics initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes across the portfolio.
  • Shaping the commercial roadmap: You’ll guide performance reviews, uncover growth levers, and lead initiatives that boost revenue through experimentation and insights.
  • Leading cross-functional delivery: You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Product to deploy scalable products and enable smart, data-led decisions.
  • Mentoring and managing teams: You’ll lead and grow a team of analysts — setting direction, aligning goals, and elevating craft and impact.
  • Championing data strategy: You’ll help steer company-wide data strategy and analytics capability development, representing the voice of analytics at senior levels.
  • Driving operational excellence: You’ll influence culture, tooling, and scalable practices that increase analytics maturity across Skyscanner.

About You

  • Proven analytics leader: You have significant experience leading multi-disciplinary analytics teams — ideally in fast-paced, digital or tech-driven environments.
  • Commercially focused: You’ve partnered with revenue and commercial teams and understand how to drive meaningful business impact through data.
  • Technically grounded: You’re fluent in data tooling, analytical workflows, and scalable insight delivery — and not afraid to get close to the data.
  • Cross-functional collaborator: You’re comfortable influencing across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Science — and translating insight into action.
  • Clear communicator: You turn complexity into clarity, delivering insights that resonate with senior audiences and frontline teams alike.
  • People-first manager: You care deeply about growing others, nurturing culture, and creating a high-trust, high-performance environment.
  • Strategic and adaptable: You can align short-term business goals with long-term vision — and navigate the ambiguity that comes with scaling impact.
