ROLE PROFILE
As an Engineering Delivery Lead, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation. You will oversee the Delivery and Project Management Office (PMO) and ensure the seamless delivery of projects. Your expertise will be crucial in implementing best practices for delivering solutions across SaaS, PaaS, and home-grown applications.
In this role, you will be a champion of DevSecOps and Agile methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will lead the engine room that supports our core corporate functions engineering teams, ensuring they have the tools and processes needed to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Delivery Leadership
- Define and execute delivery strategies aligned with business goals and customer expectations.
- Partner with Delivery Directors and Capability Leads on the delivery of large-scale engineering programs, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery across multiple teams.
- Drive delivery excellence by setting standards, KPIs, and governance models for engineering execution.
Enablement Strategy & Execution
- Develop enablement frameworks to improve engineering team performance, collaboration, and agility.
- Implement onboarding and training programs for engineering staff, focusing on tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation across engineering and delivery teams.
- Drive the workforce strategy of the engineering teams to drive productivity and efficiency in a cost-effective manner, ensuring engineering stay ahead of the challenges of new platforms and AI.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, corporate functions, and operations to align delivery capabilities with strategic priorities.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and business stakeholders, translating technical delivery into business outcomes.
- Support strategic pitches and operational planning by providing delivery insights and consultation.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor engineering managers and delivery leads, building high-performing teams.
- Manage global teams including project managers, agile coaches, architects, and data specialists.
- Drive talent acquisition, retention, and development aligned with delivery needs.
Operational & Financial Oversight
- Own delivery budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effective execution.
- Monitor performance metrics such as billable hours, service levels, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with financial and operational KPIs, including P&L accountability where applicable.
Technology & Process Enablement
- Evaluate and implement tools and platforms that enhance delivery efficiency
- Lead adoption of agile and DevOps practices, ensuring scalability and reliability of engineering solutions.
- Champion best practices in architecture, testing, and systems analysis.
Required Skills
- Strategic thinking and business acumen across corporate functions
- Deep technical expertise in engineering and architecture and understanding of critical engineering principles and how to build in-house capabilities.
- Proven experience in organisational change, product management, and project management within sophisticated organizational environments.
- Outstanding program management skills, with a track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficient in using project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management
- Data-driven decision-making ad performance analysis Strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Adept at encouraging collaboration on and driving alignment across teams with multifaceted strengths.
