The UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) at UCL East campus is an innovative business school in preparing future healthcare leaders to disrupt and reimagine global health systems. About the role

As Director of Business Development, you will:

  • Lead the commercial strategy and sales performance for executive education at GBSH.
  • Build and maintain a dynamic pipeline of prospective clients globally.
  • Engage directly with high-level clients to secure long-term contracts and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with academic and operational teams to develop innovative and market-responsive offerings.
  • Represent GBSH internationally at key events, driving awareness and commercial opportunities.
  • Shape the future of executive education in healthcare leadership, strategy, and innovation.

This is a client-facing and target-oriented role-ideal for someone entrepreneurial, commercially astute, and comfortable engaging with C-suite professionals, industry leaders, and academic stakeholders alike.

About you

The ideal candidate should have:

  • MBA or equivalent commercial experience.
  • A demonstrable track record in closing executive education or professional training sales.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Commercial acumen, with experience in pricing strategy, proposal development, and negotiation.
  • Experience in the higher education or business school environment is highly desirable.

Desired Skills and Experience

This postholder will lead and deliver the commercial growth of executive education activities at the Global Business School for Health. They will have end-to-end responsibility for driving sales, securing new contracts, building key client relationships, and ensuring sustained revenue growth across open enrolment and customised programmes.
