Join our Technology Leadership Team as Director of Data and Information
We are seeking a strategic and visionary leader to join our Technology team as the Director of Data and Information. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of data and information at L&Q, ensuring we have high-quality, trusted datasets and a clear framework for data governance.
As the Director of Data and Information, you will provide senior leadership for how data and information is governed and managed. You will lead a multidisciplinary Data and Information function, spanning governance, design, analytics, and assurance. Most importantly, you will contribute directly to our Transformation & Change North Star by supporting the delivery of our Data & Information objective to “Transform data operations and governance to enable a data and insights driven organisation”, and ensuring this aligns to our wider Technology objective to “Deliver a new technology stack that is cheaper and simpler to maintain and sustain, and supports the delivery of reliable, repeatable and consistent services”.
If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!
Your impact in the role:
Lead and Inspire: Provide strategic direction and leadership to a multidisciplinary team, embedding L&Q’s values and fostering a culture of collaboration, development, and data-informed decision-making.
Drive Strategic Transformation: Own and maintain the organisation’s Data and Information approach, aligned to our Transformation and Change priorities. You will set and enforce the strategic direction for data governance, quality, modelling, and business intelligence platforms.
Deliver Operational Excellence: Ensure the organisation has a pragmatic and workable data and information framework, with robust KPI and PI methodologies and reporting capabilities. You will ensure all data used in reporting and decision-making is high-quality and aligned with regulatory standards.
Collaborate Across the Organisation: Work closely with senior leaders and governance groups to identify strategic data priorities and ensure that all data owners and consumers align with enterprise data governance standards. You will promote data literacy across the organisation through tools, training, and engagement.
Own Financial and Risk Management: Manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and lead compliance and risk strategies to ensure audit-readiness and regulatory alignment.
What you'll bring:
We look forward to reviewing your application, and hearing about the genuine experiences and skills you could bring to our organisation. L&Q reserve the right to not accept statements that exceed 500 words.
