Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb Salary: £92,035 to £97,629 per annum Closing Date: Wednesday 16 July 2025 Reference: VC3009-25-135

Are you an employee at the University of Brighton who is passionate about championing equity in higher education and supporting all students to succeed?

We are seeking an inspiring Director of Education and Student Success to provide transformative, cross-institutional leadership, ensuring equitable and excellent outcomes and a distinctive educational experience for all our students. Reporting directly to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Students), you will strategically drive initiatives around student transition, engagement, retention, achievement and progression.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering the University’s Access and Participation Plan, preparing for future iterations of the Teaching Excellence Framework, and fostering collaborative partnerships with academic schools, professional services and the Brighton Students’ Union.

We are looking for someone with

  • Substantial experience in higher education
  • A proven record of data-driven decision-making,
  • Exceptional interpersonal influencing and motivational skills.
  • The ability to identify, pursue and secure new opportunities for the University that align with university strategic objectives.
