With a new and future-facing remit, this role will lead the capability agenda across Finance Services in the Metropolitan Police Service, drive continuous improvement, and embed best practice across financial governance, service design and workforce development. The role sits within the new looking to the future pillar, which is responsible for financial strategy, planning and capability.

As part of this transformation, we are seeking an outstanding strategic leader to join our Finance Senior Management Team as Director of Finance Capability – a role that is central to modernising our financial operations, building organisational capability, and delivering impactful change for London. With oversight of a team of around 115 finance professionals and an operating budget of £4bn+ and a capital plan of £1.4bn over five years, this is a senior leadership position with real influence.
