A rapidly growing mid-market Private Equity firm based in London is seeking to appoint a high-calibre Head of FP&A / FP&A Director to lead their financial planning and strategic finance function. This newly created position reflects the firm’s ambitious growth trajectory—both in Assets Under Management (AUM) and headcount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead the end-to-end FP&A process, including annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial insight and strategic decision support
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and scenario modelling tools to monitor portfolio performance and corporate metrics
- Drive improvements in reporting, planning systems, and data architecture
- Manage and mentor a growing FP&A team as the business scales
- Interface with portfolio companies where necessary to align group-level insights
- Support fundraising, investor reporting, and strategic projects (e.g., M&A, operational transformation)
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) or CFA, with a strong FP&A and commercial finance background
- Significant experience in the investment management or private equity space (either in-house or via practice/consulting)
- Demonstrable leadership experience and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Strong modelling, systems, and analytical capabilities (Excel, Power BI, Anaplan, or similar)
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and investors
