Director of New Business - Real Estate Developer

Overview

A brilliant opportunity has arisen within an internationally regarded Development Management firm specialising in industrial, data centres, retail (warehouse, food & beverage), and more, for a New Business Director.

This candidate will utilise their extensive network, to attract new customers/occupiers to their schemes- targeting high profile, high yielding businesses. The sectors for which they are seeking customers in, include retail, e-commerce, cold chain, manufacturing, automotive, and food & beverage.

The successful candidate will spearhead business development, while also partnering closely with the development and asset management team to ensure the optimal process for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement strategies to attract new customers, and work collaboratively with the internal teams to secure development opportunities across the UK, with scope across Europe
• Develop tailored end-to-end logistics and real estate solutions, aligning with sector-specific requirements.
• Build and maintain senior-level relationships with customers, investors, consultants, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor a team of internal professionals and external consultants to deliver business objectives.
• Manage budgets and corporate activities to ensure cost efficiency and ROI.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for agents and stakeholders, driving a high-performance culture.
• Represent the business at industry events and forums, positioning it as a market leader.

Candidate Profile

• Degree-level qualification in Real Estate, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field (Master’s and/or RICS preferred).
• Extensive senior experience in warehousing, logistics, or real estate with a strong track record in business development.
• Proven success in at least two target sectors: retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, automotive, food & beverage, or cold chain.
• Strong negotiation, commercial, and financial modelling skills.
