About The Role
This is a key and vital role in delivering our operating plan and achieving our strategic aims. The post holder will have significant ability to influence, shape and continually improve the services within the Family & Clinical Support Services Division.
Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer / Deputy CEO, the responsibility will be to deliver through triumvirate leadership within the division working to the Divisional Clinical Director and alongside the Director of Midwifery, Children’s Services and Women’s Health.
Key objectives will include leadership for the division, to provide high quality safe care, with timely access, and living within financial means.
Main duties
- Drive divisional performance, ensuring delivery of all local and national standards across activity, quality, finance, and workforce.
- Lead strategic capacity planning and patient flow, optimising resources to meet emergency access, elective, and cancer performance targets.
- Shape and deliver sustainable service plans in line with Trust priorities, securing investment through robust business cases.
- Lead complex change and transformation programmes, embedding innovation and best practice to improve quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
- Oversee risk, compliance, and clinical governance, ensuring standards, NICE guidance, and learning from incidents are implemented.
- Provide visible, values-driven leadership, empowering teams and working in strong partnership with clinical leaders.
Key Requirements
You will have a commitment to service improvement in line with our Improving Together programme and working as part of a senior team that fosters an environment of distributive leadership and promotes high standards with emphasis placed upon adherence to the Trust values and behaviours.
You will need to have significant operational experience and to keep both patients and staff welfare at the centre of your personal professional values. You will need to demonstrate commitments to working in collaboration with system partners and to have proven record of accomplishment of leading multidisciplinary teams in Healthcare environments.
