We are looking for a Director of social media to join our Digital Advisory team on a full-time permanent basis in the UK.

Job Purpose
As Director of Social Media, you’ll guide how Bauer Media shows up across platforms. This is a group-level leadership role focused on strategy, enablement, and performance uplift across multiple markets and verticals.
You’ll act as a strategic partner and capability builder, aligning social efforts with commercial, performance, CRM, content, and product goals.
Our Team
You’ll be joining our Digital Advisory team - a collaborative group focused on enabling digital excellence across Bauer. You’ll work closely with local market teams, as well as colleagues in Commercial, CRM, Content, Product, and Data.
What you’ll be doing
- Define a scalable group-wide social strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
- Equip local markets with strategic frameworks, content planning tools, and playbooks.
- Run capability workshops and strategic sessions to elevate performance.
- Collaborate with Commercial teams on social-first campaigns and innovation pilots.
- Ensure social has a measurable role in the customer journey.
- Feed audience insights and platform trends into campaign planning.
- Align with Performance Marketing to integrate organic and paid strategies.
- Work with CRM & MarTech to embed social touchpoints into lifecycle strategies.
- Partner with Content, Product, and Data teams to maximise channel impact.
- Define performance frameworks across reach, engagement, referral, and conversion.
- Translate analytics into actionable advice and build feedback loops for improvement.
What you bring
- Extensive experience in social media, digital content, or audience growth.
- Deep platform expertise across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Experience working with decentralised or regional teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to partner on monetisable content formats.
- Creative and analytical thinker who blends storytelling with performance impact.
