We are seeking an experienced Distribution Director to join on a 6-month fixed-term contract to cover a period of long-term absence. This is a critical leadership role overseeing two distribution centres in Milton Keynes, ensuring operational stability and driving improvements across logistics and supply chain operations.

The Role

As Distribution Director, you will:

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations across two distribution centres.
• Oversee planning, forecasting, and alignment with manufacturing sites.
• Support and enhance international logistics activity, with a particular focus on the US market and exports.
• Provide strategic insight, assessing current operations and recommending improvements for long-term success.
• Operate with autonomy and authority, making decisions and driving delivery while working as part of the senior leadership team.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience running a logistics or distribution centre.
• Strong background in exports, planning, and forecasting.
• Experience of international logistics – ideally with exposure to the US.
• A proactive, hands-on leader who can hit the ground running and deliver impact quickly.
