At Chambers and Partners, we're looking for a passionate and strategic DEI Manager to be an integral part of our dynamic People Team.
You'll be deeply embedded in the heart of our people strategy, working across internal culture initiatives, leadership advisory, and external client engagement, as well as leading on data and analytics, to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are woven into everything we do.
Main responsibilities:
Externally:
- Managing, and where needed, spearhead the department’s global DEI awards, seminars and forums, including content, sponsor liaison, speaker management, seminar moderation and award judging. Working collaboratively with the Events team to ensure streamlined and professional execution of all events in line with client needs.
- Driving the DEI content plan, including the creation of original and regular DEI content, working collaboratively with the marketing team on messaging, and ensuring Chambers DEI initiatives are promoted.
- Directing Chambers’s relationship with external partners, including trade bodies, charity partners and industry groups (e.g. women in Tech, BAME networks, neurodiversity groups)
- Leading on tracking and promoting DEI progress in research guides through regular examination and guide launch statements
Internally
- Devising strategy for our internal DEI network, INSPIRE, and directing on nine strands (Age & Disability, Cultural Inclusion, Gender, LGBT+, Mental Health & Wellbeing, Neurodiversity, Responsible Business, Parents & Carers and Social Mobility).
- Supporting on the strategy and operations of the DEI department, including project management of departmental activity that will include coordinating awareness days and inclusive events
- Advising managers and employees regarding DEI matters and questions.
- Working closely with the L&D Team to design and deliver engaging DEI workshops as well as mentoring, supportive and guidance programs.
- Working with the People Team to ensure internal processes and procedures are inclusive, including using subject matter expertise and advising on best practice
Data Analysis:
- Collect, analyse, and interpret HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to present data in an accessible and actionable format.
- Conduct predictive analytics to forecast HR metrics and support strategic planning.
Person Specification:
- A genuine passion and commitment towards all aspects of diversity and inclusion – gender, race and ethnicity, LGBT+, disability, mental health and wellbeing, and social mobility.
- An understanding of current global diversity issues, as well as of current workplace diversity challenges in the legal profession.
- Proven ability to build internal and external relationships and a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Education and experience:
- Experience in creating and implementing DEI initiatives and activities
- CIPD qualification, level 5 or above desired.
- Previous demonstrable experience in in HR. DEI, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR, HR legal compliance, data fundamentals and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interpret and utilise people data to drive DEI strategies and initiatives.
- Experience in developing, maintaining and analysing DEI metrics and dashboards.
